I look at any holiday as a great opportunity to reach out to friends and loved ones through the snail mail system to brighten their day.
I believe because Thanksgiving falls right before the Christmas season, it tends to get over looked in the card department.
However, the basis of Thanksgiving should definitely be a reason to send a holiday card and tell a person why you are grateful for them.
I searched around the Internet looking for ‘the right one’ –any Thanksgiving card that didn’t illustrate a fat turkey or smiling pilgrims around a wooden table.
Sadly, that quest was not easy. Once again the stationery companies think all stationery consumers fancy somewhat tacky and childish representation in the card department.
I don’t understand that appeal, but to each their own I suppose.
The Thanksgiving Cards I settled on aren’t the cheapest in the lot..but they are certainly a card I can write on with personal enjoyment and send away knowing I sent a representation of not only me, but good wishes on a card that is sure to brighten my friends day.
And that’s all that matters to me in the end…
~ Happy Thanksgiving ~
